The Local Area

Redmarley Bed and Breakfast is an ideal base for exploring the many attractions of the surrounding area and is conveniently located close to the historic market town of Ledbury and not far from the spectacular Malvern Hills and Great Malvern.  The four-acre property is situated on a green lane on the edge of rural Redmarley. Cheltenham, Hereford, Gloucester and Worcester are all located only a short drive away, each with their own selection of shopping options, restaurants, theatres, historic buildings and local attractions.  From here you have easy access to great festivals, ancient cathedrals, spectacular walking trails, majestic forests, luxury shopping and historic castles.

Ledbury

Historic Ledbury is an idyllic market town just West of the Malvern Hills and only ten minutes drive from Redmarley Bed and Breakfast.  The High Street has an excellent range of independent shops, great cafes, pubs and restaurants.

Great Malvern & The Malvern Hills

One of the great geographical landmarks of England, The Malvern Hills can be seen from far and wide.  Only 15 minutes away by car you can explore them at your leisure on a walk, jog or bike ride.  The views from the top are superb.  Stop for lunch and a well-deserved drink at the renowned Malvern Hills Hotel.  Situated at the foot of the hills is the lovely town of Great Malvern with the Malvern Theatre and the Three Counties Showground.

Cheltenham, Hereford, Gloucester & Worcester

With all of the conveniences of larger cities, Cheltenham, Hereford, Gloucester and Worcester are all located within 30 minutes by car.

Other Places of Interest

Also within easy reach are the Wye Valley (Symonds Yat, Goodrich Castle, Tintern Abbey and the famous book town of Hay-on-Wye), the Forest of Dean, and Chepstow Castle.

Nearby Pubs

The Rose and Crown at Redmarley is within walking distance at the bottom of our lane which is a good pub to have a drink in.  For an outstanding dinner we recommend The Three Choirs in Newent (20 minutes).  The following restaurants are also very good: The Moody Cow at Upton Bishop (15 minutes), The Butcher’s Arms at Eldersfield (15 minutes), The Inn at Welland (20 minutes), The Swan at Hanley Swan (20 minutes) and The Olive Tree in Ledbury (10 minutes). We strongly recommend that you book in advance.

Walking

In addition to the Malvern Hills there are plenty of footpaths from the house taking in the immediate area.
